Yeah I know saw some in B&Q today for £12 thought I'll get em somewhere else cheaper but seems like that's the cheapest about

Lyte ladders trade from laders999 are good for window cleaning.bought 5.18m last year only 11 kg I think, great quality light enought for daily work.

Ye noticed they sell um in b&q

2 hours my god they got there money's worth lol

No on a serious note well done keep it up

Six months from now that will take you 5 mins mate, practice practice and practice some more, But listen to stevie and get some mits, if budget is too tight, get some foam cladding they use to wrap pipes and gaffer tape that on your ladder it will do as a stop gap mate.

Cheers mate yeah looking forward to when I can work as proficiently as possible. First clean as well so needed a lot of scrubbing. Will definitely get some mitts.

I would go for lyte ladders but trade rated ones not domestic as they are designed for occasional use and aren't up to the abuse they will get day in day out

Ladderstore is a good place to get them

i use the 12 rung 3 section ones as i do a lot of gutters and townhouses but they are heavier than 2 section ones..being trade rated they are rated to carry up to 130 kilo

I use one of these instead of mitts but more expensive

Means you never put the ladder on the sills

i personally wouldnt buy mitts . mitts are clumsy and fall off when carrying a ladder

better to use a pair of socks

It would do for most normal houses bit o do townhouse gutters and velux windows etc so too small for me

2 section lytes are not as heavy for the same size but go for what you want

i had those really craapy red mitts that fit loose . another downer about mitts is when you need to split your ladder the mitts are there in the way. if you are the sort of window cleaner who positions his ladder against the window sill [rather than wall] ,, im one of those, mitts are no use at all

I used to go against the sill also boar but now i an put the ladder exactly the same position but the standoff wheels rest against the wall keeping the ladder off the sill

Ye suppose if you put the mitts on the sill it could cause them to come off

I personally have never put ladders on sills doesn't feel secure to me sumat about ladders and plastic don't mix so I've put my ladder always on the wall although I'm 6.4 so reach isn't prob

at one stage i had the top part of my ladder stiles wrapped in bicycle inner tube rubber -this worked well in stopping side slip on sills - and still allowed me to split my ladder

i also heard of windies taking off the plastic feet at top of ladder and inserting a length of hardwood in each stile ,these hardwood tip worked very well - i havnt tried it in fact i forgot about it,till now
