elbow swivel adapter size

there seems to be 2 sizes  on the hose reel connection.      3/4    & 1/2 inch.   my brain must be having a  dumb moment 

measuring my hose reel thread it is 1 inch.         am i missing something

I think most are 3/4 but have never measured them

3/4 common size for tanks and hoses

Also the exact same size as your washing machine hose connectors
