Exceed connectors

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I spray my rectus fittings everday with WD40 and never needed to change them and that's over two years. We have to maintain things and they will last alot longer.

We have a silicon grease we use about every 4 months as occasionally we find they can get a bit siff with the internal ball-bearings. IE they gradually start not to connect as easy and stay open at times.

I get mine from @Skxawng as I know he sources his directly from the official manufacturers.

But even then they don't last forever. Got over a year out of my last one, but I don't give them any consideration when it comes to time at work. They have been driven over among other things. Even have a truck do a 3 point turn over one of them.

They have never 100% fail on me but when I start to feel I'm losing time I swap them out or when the start to leak a bit. I Keep the old ones and see if I can rescue them or put them on system where they don't get connected or disconnected much as long as they are not leaking.

Before we went tubeless we had to swap them out way more as the male connector would get damaged been exposed.

Part of the reason I didn't go to exceeds new tubeless system was worrying about the male connector not lasting very long been exposed like that. Between putting pole away resting it on ground when it's not connected etc.

Exceeds old tubeless system was brill in comparison.

Forget the grease, just spray with WD40 everyday and see what happens. Let us know how you get on. ?

Haha I now got images of a van that's got wd40 in every place. ? Lol. I think your hooked on the smell. ?
A fiver a can from Amazon so i stocked up with half a dozen, free delivery. Its the down time I don't like. Make a few ton a day now and picked up a monkey pvc & window clean on massive house. Took me decades to realise time is money so anything that makes my job easier then i jump at it. Also have shelf full of stuff i don't need nor will i ever use it. One day i will start a website rating things but not got round to it. ???

Anyone eals found they snap very easily or am I just expecting too much out of them!
I had 4 snap in the same place over a space of 6 weeks. I've since come up with a possible fix.

I used a 2 pack stick filler to wrap around the stem and then push the cover over that.

This reduces the wiggle and pull on what is a very thin plastic pipe. The only downside may be if the hose bursts. May not be able to save the connector.

Have you tried the rutek design on eBay conveyor they are much better in my opinion and last a lot longer
