Small offcut of hose, kink pole hose and then place off cut of garden hose over to stop flow very simple and very effective.

Doesn’t this method ruin the hose, if you continually bend the hose?

As Den said no it doesn’t affect it like that after several years it might crack I have some pole hose that has been treated this way and it’s around 7 years old and it is now kinked but still not leaking .

Mine is Gardiner PU pole hose. @Pjj looks like exceed blue PU pole hose both are very similar I have used both no difference IMO.

7 years old?I’m fortunate if I get 6 months out of some pole hose. What kind is it?

We use , ionics orange , exceed Inovation blue , and Gardiners green pu all very good hose and it’s used with hot water , I have been testing the green pu for Alex it’s very good tuff stuff you won’t damage that in 6 months I will personally replace it for you if you do ???, we drag it around sharp pebble dash walls and it gets a very hard life but we have been unable to damage it in reasonable use

Gardiners green pu is a lot tuffer than exceed Inovation blue that stretches the Gardiners doesn’t it’s brilliant stuff one we have used up all the exceed and ionics I will switch over to Gardiners on all my reels , I still have about 250 meters of the other stuff to use first though ???

I have just bought the green to try, only bought enough for one pole to try. I have the yellow all seasons, don’t like it. My other pole is a yellow like braided stuff. Get caught and punctures easy. I did fancy the exceed but had an order from Gardiners so got the green from them. Will get it tried?

The yellow stuff is horrible, the green pu is awesome stuff you will be impressed ???

Ive got exceeds blue hose on reel, good hose.

Ive got gardiners green pu hose on small reel, totally coily, but light, and its not supposed to be put on a reel.

Look forward to 30m pole hose that can be put on small reel without coiling.
