depends what is confortablei hae the choice of going out at 7 and starting or going out later and startin wen u go to the next level i think it be hard to go back and if franchise out is it really going to bring in that much more cash i think it bring in more stress

it will bring you in more cash as long as youv the fresh work flowing in - employing has never brought me much stress altho initially i got stressed as i hadnt enough work[thought i had but was kiddin myself]- so i had to get my marketing act into gear to get some ..

the real benefit of employing is on my own body,oh i still clean windows but am supervising at same time - i dont flog my guts out all day ,i delegate the workload

id think franchising is the clever way to go-but i think you would need some first hand knowledge of how a franchise works-or possibly go on a course to learn the ins and outs ,before setting it up. i can remember on the cleanitup forum a guy there had setup and was running a successful window cleaning franchise op in Kent- prior to this he had a while working cleaning deep fat fryers out for a national franchise, this likely gave him the idea and the insider know how

Im only just in the planning stages at the minute, but I can definitely relate to a lot of the posts in this thread. I work in a rubbish office job, slogging my arse off for someone else, begging to have time off etc. I have decided that I want to be a window cleaner, and have dreams off all the add on services etc I can do - sad I know! its all I think about at the minute, just walking up the street looking at houses and thinking to myself "that house would be £14 quid using @Green 's method" lol. The biggest problem for me at the minute is we are not in a financial position where I can manage to go without pay, so I will need to save a bit of a buffer first I think. It will be easier to take the plunge then

i remember at the start i was going to do the whole home matience thing ie cut grass brush paths do hedges etc

now ... window cleaning powerwashin at gd money gutter clean upvc cleaning conservatory cleaning

I started 25 years ago workjng for a friends dad

Then built a round in west london

Moved to stevenage and sold it

Now building another one

Had all these dreams of doing other stuff but here i am on the glass again

Can't beat it imo

And i am obsessed

Even when not working i am playing around modding tools or trying techniques

It's what i was born to do i think and i pride myself on being very good at it

That is obsession when others are happy to just go out and do a good enough job to get paid
