Quoted a big price as you kind of didn't really want the job then got it and felt sorry for charging so much? On a quote yesterday, old lady on her own, husband passed away a few years ago, house needs a real clean up, gutters, fascia, windows, conny etc, it was peeing down with rain while walking about and one side of the house was so close to the next that to do the G/S/F I knew I'd be getting soaked in green crap as it comes down, so I gave her a big rate and said its a good day to poss a day and half, she gulped and then went ahead a few mins later but looked like she didn't expect that kind of cost, I kinda felt bad as I then got chatting to her about stuff in the past and felt my quote was a touch steep so threw in doing her inside windows and frames too, but on the same hand the job is a fair one to do in 1 day. Maybe I'm just too soft lol. I do know her house will be transformed afterwards so I think she will be happy once I have done it.

That's a nice post trev. Yeh, about 6 months ago an old boy asked me to do his windows just as a one off. I gave him a massive price as I hate one offs. He agreed and went indoors. His neighbour then informed me that he's recently been burgled and lives on his own, so did them at a normal price

I dont feel sorry if a custy ask for a price then accept, their choice. We are windowcleaner but also do run a business. Dont think stock investors feel sorry when they rip you and me off.
