Maybe a complete red herring but my Jetmac started doing this after its winter lay-up. Was as simple as the inline filter being blocked. I didn’t even know it had one.

Yeah I bet it's the y filter. I had the same. Take it off, give a good clean and put back in. Mine had some **** in it, cleaned out and good to go again,

If the filters blocked you don’t usually get decent pressure at all the op said he gets good pressure releasing the trigger and squeezing it again ? But it could affect the flow rate they don’t take much dirt to block them they are tiny .

Mine was as per his description with the added crunching and banging of the unloader valve. There was a tiny bit of grit in it but the ‘blockage’ was actually a fine film of limescale in the mesh. Wasn’t needing the machine for a little while so no rush and I soaked it in cleaning vinegar for a few days.

Must buy some spare mesh. Seem to be few and far between. Probably because the whole assembly is only about £8. A company called AC pressure washing stock them though.
