hot water on a budget

WCF

Yes @Skxawng. Though I can't comment on that exact model, that type of kit is what others use, and what some shops sell at crazy inflated prices with a small branding sticker on.

They have a 20 min safety cutoff, and needs exhaust taken care of, but seem like a reliable solution.

I'm personally going for diesel heater this winter, but that is a different discussion.

What, you mean like this?

https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/6L-LPG-PROPANE-GAS-STAINLESS-TANKLESS-INSTANT-HOT-WATER-HEATER-BOILER/292576334551?epid=27019817883&hash=item441ee892d7%3Ag%3AIkwAAOSwPRxbNDo2&_sop=15&_nkw=lpg+hot+water+heater&_from=R40&rt=nc

Has anyone used one of these? They are rated for 0.8MPa or (116psi) but would they handle the water being turned on and off and having a flow rate much lower than it's designed for?
I would guess the cheapest way to get going would be an immersion heater, thats low in the initial set up costs, although if you have one of those Wyevale tanks theres a good chance it would warp over time and lose its integrity, another option would be a gas heater like the one above although you'd need to install a flow limiter to get it to kick in at a low flow,(its all down to your pipe diameter and restrictions you have in your stystem-many build a stystem and its ok cold its only when you start to use hot with these gas burners that it shows up problems)

next is diesel, suprisingly cheap to own one and the running costs are the same as the above two options, although it does mean beefing up many parts on your stystem if it is a diy one,(my heater at the moment has cost me £122.00,i've not fitted it yet as i'm awaiting delivery of a new tank).

cheapest is not always the best way to go with hot water and I think you'll need to do some more research before you bite the bullett

you can't with the immersion option, nor the gas for safety, diesel is the preffered option for on the move heating, this forum is more based on residentional work than commercial so based on that presumption you would heat the water at home prior to going to work, just my opinion on this
