Hotel quote help.

Hi guys, I'm about to quote a large hotel, 190 bedrooms for window cleaning. I was wondering if any one else did hotels and if they had any pointers. Not necessarily on price but things to consider that I may not think intiailly. Going for a walk round today so see what they say. Thanks in advance.

A very important consideration is how you will be paid. This is on the back of another window cleaner's experience on the forums.

You need to know who is responsible for payment, the process of invoicing and their payment terms. If payment is from their head office in wherever, expect to be messed around: invoice not received, can we have a copy, need to get it approved, etc. I've heard them all.

If their terms don't suit you, then be prepared to walk away.

I would also like to know what happened to their previous cleaner.

We do a large hotel that we also have to do all of the communal internal ground floor windows. Just ask them to put in writing exactly what they want doing and the schedule they want them doing to.
We have to do all external windows and the internal reception windows every month, the bar and restaurant internals every other month etc etc. We can't do external windows till after 10 am, but have to do the bar, restaurant and reception before 6.30 am, so check for that as well. Where can you park and what days do they have deliveries or bins cleared if it is a delivery / bin area as you don't want to turn up, set up and the binmen or delivery driver turns up and you have to wrap up and move.
Are they part of a group, who, and how, do you speak to someone to get paid if they're late paying, what are their payment terms as you won't be able to dictate yours.
