How to water proof fittings

The pipe and the outlet from the tank leaks where it connects to the pipe how do you waterproof it?

Quick lock or ptfe would be my go toos

Check to make sure the threaded boss isn't cracked.
On a couple of other permanent fittings, I mixed up some 2 part epoxy, (I use Araldite), smeared the male threads with it and then assembled. They've been like that for 12 years now with no mains pressure water leaks at all.
