I Had To Change My Resin Today

I produce a minimum of 5000 ltr of pure per week sometimes 7-8 thousand my tap tds is around 90 , I have a 25 ltr resin vessel after the ros and I change the resin  roughy every 12-14 months , no idear if that’s good or bad but Ime quite happy with it .

Sruse,good point,when do the calculators say the resin is exhausted.Dont know yet.!Nice one green Pro,thats my target!Daqua told me 11ltr di vessal minuimum if the water flow rate through it is high,mines only 7ltrs. Cheers

I honesty believe that resin calculators are a best guess at most. WCW and Gardiner resin calculators don't give the same results. Resin quality can vary even between batches made by the same company. We all know from experience that there are resins on the market that perform (or appear to perform) better than others do.

The other question is; who of us know exactly how much pure water we use a month? I know how much water I use between filter changes as I write down the date each time I do it. I then estimate pure water produced from that my waste to pure ratio as I don't have a water meter on my pure outlet.

Ive done two di changes,and kept record of pure water produced at zero ppm.My ro does need changing ,but please ignore that for now. I double Di.I put 800ltrs from a tank At 2ppm through fresh resin,followed by1000ltrs at 4ppm,followed by 750ltrs at1ppm.i did another 750 run the pure out was still zero, at the end of that run,a check reveiled a rise to 4 ppm.If we add up that's somewhere between 1570 and 2320ltrs at zero,before rise.The second di  change,I ran only 1500ltrs at 4ppm in, before the ppm out of the di rose above zero.To 3ppm infact.The only different factor is the last change was made from the last of my resin & some from my previous bag that was left over.Things don't seem so good even so.Thanks
