I insulated my van with that stuff that looks like silver bubble wrap - really good insulation value & still very thin and flexible to go round everything. Then I put a 500w aquarium heater in the tank with the thermostat turned down to minimum - it costs about £1 per night to run & because you heat the whole tank the residual heat keeps the whole van frost free for the entire day even if temps stay sub-zero.

I'm not saying it costs a tenner a night, but what I'm saying is if it DID cost you a tenner and you managed to earn £xxx amount the next day, then the tenner you spent on making yourself able to work would be worth it.

I would rather lose £60 than a weeks takings.
