Is this happening to anyone else?

We had 82 reviews start of the year and then got this to 86, I looked the other day and showed we only had 84, I then got two more reviews yesterday and it only showed we had 85, and then this morning we're randomly down to 81!

I also manually counted our reviews on there and it equals 88, I also noticed it's seemed to happen to a couple of my competitors too

Anyone noticed this or have any info on why it's happening? I've already messaged Google so hopefully will get some answers

Thanks

Just checked mine and I’ve lost a few as well ? Had 160 now have 147…. Very odd

not so long ago a customer of mines bragging hes an senior ambassador for trustpilot and would write me a review-he did but its full of spelling mistakes and i only got 4 stars.

Lost another. Having checked a little closer the reviews they are removing are due to policy violations. A recent policy change for example seems to say you can't rate a page you manage. Previously you were able to so that will be one. Then if you have members of your household who have left a review using the same IP they will have been removed. If there is an account that has previously been logged in on your device this will have been removed. Then finally, if you have too many of these your account will likely need a full review which will cost you even more.

I haven't got any of these though, also, all reviews are still on there, it's just the count is completely out

I send a link to the customer, they follow it on there own device and Google account and leave a review so don't get what's going on,

Also one of my competitors has went on a rampage this year getting reviews, they've gained like 40 this year, we're on about 62 like 3 days ago, now 57 so it almost rules out the idea of Google getting rid of inactive accounts and old reviews

I've also noticed a loss in the past 24hours, for me its not the physical posted customer reviews, but the review count next to your business profile name. My count has always matched actual reviews, but now shows (118) when in actual fact counting myself its still 129. I read on one Reddit US forum last night, someone in contact with Google said its made changes to its system which have effected the count of reviews. I've contacted Google support about this. Just check through your reviews to see if the count matches physically posted! Absolute pain in the butt!!!!!
