My Brodex 250 RO /Di is experiencing problems. Now my system is the older model age unknown and Brodex no longer supply this item they are looking for an alternative. The contoller It is stripped down as far as I can strip it. I believe internal parts may be missing, if so please inform me where I can souce the missing items. Is there an alternative item that can be used in place of this item if so whats it called and from where can it be sourced.
I have contacted a Company who explained to me what this item does and here is his reply.
Quote "This valve creates a backpressure on the membrane which makes it produce pure water. You need to allow at lease 50% of the water to go to waste in order to flush the membrane while you fill. The more water you allow to waste the less you will produce and the purer the water, the less you let go to waste the more you will produce, but the less pure." Unquote...
Is there a way to determine this 50% waste he mentions I mean I filled the 250 liter tank Thursday overnight Tap TDS 370 in the Tank 086ppm and that was with the Cap tightened right down on this Waste Control device. The waste water was nothing more than Droplet size not a constant trickle or flow not what I would expect.
