Seems like there has been some shady goings on from Equip2clean (Kiam) as they've become the sole supplier in the UK of the GVS vacuums, which GVS have confirmed to be true, seems like they cut a deal with the supplier and bumped GVS out the picture, just a day before Christmas too!

I think GVS do some great products (or perhaps did), but what was really their USP was their customer service which was outstanding so I expect they'll be fine.

Where have you see that part? I’ll post some screenshots, but GVS are claiming no knowledge & will be investigating in new year when factory reopens.

Kiam stated it on their page, and you can see they (GVS) skirted around the question as to whether or not they'll still be able to supply replacement parts by stating they currently have enough. But you are right, perhaps I was wrong to say that it has been confirmed although it does look that way.

I would guess @GVS Julia Martin and co will have alternative suppliers. They recently introduced a new 3400 watt dual motor Shadow vac, so I would be surprised if they don't have alternatives in the pipeline.
I wonder if that's part of the reason they are diversifying with Pressure Washers, poles, roof scrapers, etc.

I do hope they have a prosperous New Year in spite of Equip2Clean.

Didn’t think GVS machines were kiam ??

@THL4KEL has always said they just rebadged an Italian manufacturers gutter vac. If true then Kiam have done a deal to be sole suppliers
It wouldn't surprise me if GVS had a similar contract with the supplier originally, because I remember someone found the vacuums on ebay with no branding for a fraction of the price, you haven't been able to find those for a while, maybe Kiam offered them more money.

They weren't originally as far as I know, i thiblnk they had different suppliers - but Kiam now has the sole rights to GVS' supplier in the UK
That’s a very dangerous Move by GVS putting all their eggs in one basket with one firm , I think it would be good for @GVS Julia Martin to clarify the situation as to what’s happening so ones know ware they stand with vacs etc , I don’t have any of there vacs but hear very good reports about them would be a shame if they had to change suppliers and they weren’t as good .

It wouldn't be the first time something like this has happened over Christmas when businesses are closed. Is it ethical. No. But we also don't know the facts surrounding this move, or if there is a move at all in the first place. Could it be a load of rubbish and one company trying to slag off the competition. I'm sure most of us have had another windie poaching our customers by telling them that we have packed up.
