I tend to get a pain in my right shoulder after a long days work. It subsides a bit after a few days rest but it still niggles me. I'm very aware and careful not to overstretch with the pole or put any undue stress on it. I use an SLX 25 with Gardiners sill brush atm. Was considering getting an extreme pole from Gardiners. Very pricey I know but i wonder if less weight would help ? Any ideas chaps please?

I would first get rid of the sill brush- it isn't helping. The Xtremes are lighter & more rigid than the SLX but not as robust. They are strong poles don't get me wrong but they wont take the kind of abuse you can give an SLX. If you are sensible though, they will last a long time. I would try a lighter brush & even a swivel as these also reduce physical demand IMO.

Hmm ... a swivel neck. I take it this replaces my angle adapter ? From Gardiners I presume. Worth a look... thanks

I hated my swivel neck. Had it a year and tried it again. Think I like it now. Good on sideways windows.

Get the lightest brush you can
