Mains Booster Pump Problems...

WCF

Help Support WCF:

70psi sounds good. How does this compare to bar? I don't even know what that means, lol.

We have a meter out the front of our property but aren't billed per use, Just a flat fee.....

Presumably once they see I'm sucking the road dry they'll bang me straight on a meter!!!

Hmmmm...

70 psi = 4.8 bar.

This water meter lark is quite an emotional issue. At one time you could elect to have a meter fitted in our part of the world and you had the option to 'cancel' it and revert back to your original payment plan based on property value. Once the house was sold then the meter became active.

But sooner or later a process of elimination will focus on the homes without a water meter. I'm sure most of the homes in our area have gone onto water meters to save money. Our neighbour did. She got a monthly water bill for the first year which was half of what she was paying before. Then after the first years grace she got an actual bill for the year. She hadn't noticed that the bills she had received were estimated bills. After her actual reading she realised that there wasn't much of a saving and she is on her own.

It seems the water board are in our cul de sac regularly looking for leaks. They seem to get to us in the morning, so I try to not process water until the afternoon. What I should do is put the system onto a timer.
