Metal plates on gutters?

Yet to actually go see in person but thought I’d go prepared for the possible job.

Had a call from a customer for blocked gutters... he says he went up himself to try and clear it but he has metal plates on his gutters which prevented him to carry on and decided to give me a call. 

Have to say this is new to me... what does he mean? I’ve never come across metal plates on gutters (yet)

No mate never had metal plates on house gutters, had them over ground drains. They could be plastic gutter guards or the metal spikes that clip on to prevent pigeons sitting and ? everywhere. As you say either stick a camera up or get the ladders out
