Depends how much work you get but sometimes a guttervac does come in very handy on some jobs

I hear ya, and if I specialised in gutters or exterior cleaning then maybe I would. But 700+ is a lot to splash on a vac, for very occasional use. (Even if it can do something my wife stopped doing since we got married).

Well I eventualy put in a ridiculous high price and funny enough I've heard nothing back as of yet thank goodness. Knowing my luck I will still get that job so may have to do a @cheapncheerful runner /emoticons/biggrin.png

I was once told that if I got every job I quoted for, then I'm doing something wrong. There's a lot of truth in it.

All new cleans today

Pain in the arris as I don't charge extra seeing as then I have them as regular custys

My scraper never seen so much action

Went in homes and mortgages to drop off a deposit for my niece with me belt etc on

Manager said "ooh a window cleaner..we need on for all our properties as and when they need cleaning (new tennants etc) the only guy we know is the guy who does the shop and he not interested in residential work"

Took my number and details and also she needs her house doing..lives in a village quite close and said she would ask her mates there who have big houses to make it wor5h my while travelling

Thinking estate agents might be a good move

They do a lot of work for landlords and always sort out the cleaning between tennants moving out and new ones in

Can charge business rates if landlords are paying for the service

i have been getting quite a few gutter jobs where theres nothing much in them. nontheless whether its an eggcup full or a bucket full i charge the same. and i can tell them confidently that NOW they are clean.

in the past i would "have a quick look" for free but thats the fools way cos no money would come my way if was as good as empty

i dont do it that way now. clear em out is the only option

happy days

We'll see..depends how much they phone me:rolleyes:
yeah talk is cheap but you never know if ya dont hear anything might be worth contacting her

dont think we windys would be high on bank managers radar

My service costs include checking & clearing gutters, downspouts and water test when required to make sure they are free flowing. Sometimes I may find hardly anything in a gutter run but I also make sure I check the downspouts as many a time the bends are blocked. Also I have found quite a few that have been blocked from the bottom of the downpipes too. When gutter runs are shared with downspouts on another property after the customers guttering has been checked & cleared I advise the customer if next door needs doing aswell or not as may not solve their problem why their gutters keep overflowing.

Got this message on facebook page this morning

Gonna do a cnc and do a runner I think

Hi, I wondered how much you charge for a one off window clean? I'm based off Fairview Road nr the Old Town? Looking to have 5 possibly 6 (very hard to reach!) windows cleaned. Kind regards Sarah

Need to sort wfp to do these jobs and charge well for them

It helps if you have the right kit for the job for sure.

Most of my jobs start off as one-off exterior property cleans including gutter clearing but they end up having the exterior of their homes cleaned every year or two. Likewise with pressure washing as customers also like to have their drives and patios cleaned aswell

I will be popping out later to do such a job /emoticons/smile.png

My mate does the pressure washing as a sideline as is a council grass cutter then charges them to go round occasionally to spray against weeds coming back with the councils gear

Very lucrative for him
