I like to use the right size channel for each window..makes my life a lot easier and as i use the right tools with the right techniques i am a lot quicker than an average windie too

Been modding my own channels for years so the moerman tools are just an evolution of that for me and saves me the hassle

If you want to use 1 squeegee then go ahead but i like to work my way

Plus you don't see me climbing ladders or jumping fences these days as i will wfp tops

Scrim or microfibre does the job these videos show you all this and that speed is money all this swapping and changing just takes time

I may use 3 different squeegees on 1 window cluster but it takes a second to change channels and i would be on my next lot while you are still detailing

If that is your way then good luck to you but that doesn't make my way wrong

I just work efficiently with no wasted time detailing..1 microfibre can last me a week as it is only used for the odd stubborn bee spot etc on the glass

I'm really starting to prefer having a selection of squeegees for different sized windows. Even with swapping tools and so on, I'm doing my work quicker as I've got next to know detailing to do. Bar giving the frames a quick wipe with a damp cloth. Which I was doing before anyway. But I suppose it's all down to preference.

I could never go back to a standard squeegee..would be like chopping your extreme wfp pole in for a cheap fibreglass jobbie..why take a step backwards

I couldn't go back now, in a short time I've already next to no detailing. Which means my cloths stay dryer longer, I'm not needing step ladders now as the pole does fine. I'm aiming to get good enough to do second storey windows with the pole as well. So that will mean I'm not carrying ladders about either. Which will make me more efficient

Get a cheap wfp backpack setup and you will be able to do fascias and conny roof jobs very easily and expand the services you offer

Plus wfp is a lot quicker for tops and don't use much water just on top windows

Then fly through the bottoms with your squeegees

I was actually thinking that for next year mate. I'll never stop traditional on windows I can reach or pole effectively but the wfp would certainly be a handy tool to add to my collection

Find out what your tds is..could be cheap di only or collect rainwater like Bob does

He has several water butts in series and collects rainwater which goes through a di to polish it off..such low tds the resin lasts forever

Yeah I seen that he does that, but hardly uses his setup. It's definitely worth me looking in to

Both. I have the only DI system around here so I use it even on quick jobs to get more visibility for window cleaning. Customers appreciate my enthusiasm for DI.

I'm thinking about taking dave's advice and looking into getting a backpack setup. As the thought of not needing to go up ladders is enticing. Trad-man is a advocate of "modern traditional"..... he uses the pole to trad upstairs windows instead of ladders.

I used to do that but in all honesty as good as i am with a pole i prefer to wfp tops as i then know frames and sills are spotless

It all depends on your water tds

Could be couple hundred quid..could be the same plus an ro for £170 extra

HiLooking to upgrade to a squeegee with end clips. I've noticed that the moerman liquidator is around £10 more than the unger ergotec ninja. Is there much difference in performance between the 2, is it worth while spending the extra tenner? Thanks

The only channel I have for my Unger Ergotec Ninja is 30" so my comparisons are limited. My Liquidator has a 10", 12" and a 14" channel.

Both have nice handles but I give a slight nod to the Ninja. Legend channels that are dog eared are now available from a Canadian manufacturer, not sure if they are available in the UK, so the channels might become equal. Both handles can swivel so that is handy, but the Liquidator can go to 0 degrees, so I prefer the Liquidator.

However, Unger does make a lot of nice brushes, swivel mops and pads and I don't know if the Moerman pole I have on order will be compatible with them. I really don't want to have to carry around a bunch of poles for incompatible attachments.
