I personally wouldn't want to take a sub pump out of the water every time I finished using it. That would be a right pain.@spruceYes, I have been happy with its service. It has lasted about 3 years for around £30. It was just a shock to see the corrosion.
On inspection, the bottom of my holding Tank had a layer of that rust on the bottom of it so I decided to clean it out. I swilled around the remainder of pure water in the tank (about 6") and scrubbed the bottom in the water. Just for the hell of it, I then checked the TDS of the water which looked a little murky, and amazingly, the reading was only 3
Funny game this WFP.
Been thinking about either getting another and maybe taking it out of the water when not in use, which could end up being a pain. Or, trying one of those little 12v bilge pumps......Or just carry on as I have done with another pump
