Printed slips - still a thing in 2025?

Really useful feedback all, and I wouldn't want to kill a feature people rely on so this is seeming like a must have (for those who need it!) As I think about it, it's not just about getting paid, it's about reminding the customer who you are - maintains something of a relationship even though you often don't cross paths. Also, hard to ignore a slip (unlike an email) you're more likely to put it on the worktop or whatever and get round to sorting it (rather than just binning it).

@dazmond any ideas for improving the slips? e.g. customisation, info shown, layout etc?

A lot of my customers are not in when i clean and even though more older customers are getting more savvy with email and technology lots aren't!

Personally I think the ability to change the colour of the outstanding balance on slips(red for example) would be handy....

I use slips for all my non commercial stuff. (And for small under £50 commercial too because I get paid really quickly)

They are 5 to a page. Bright yellow paper so they can't be missed. Guillotined in 5 page lots.

Written out the evening before during the adverts while I watch The Chase. 😀

I use a four-colour pen too!

Red for anyone who has missed a payment. Green for a separate attached price increase slip when used as well.

Blue or Black when I need to write a nice legible cheque for an old biddy with poor hand writing before they sign it and I photograph it into my bank account on the spot.
