Have been asked to price up a clean for contractors renovating Local Pub / Restaurant.

Sorry I haven't any pictures, however based on a standard size opener there's approx 100.

Windows aren't to bad, very dusty and the odd paint drip.

Where would you guys be on price, just after some idea as i usually undersell myself and it ends up taking way longer.

Thanks in advance. ?

Larger jobs can be tricky and you definitely don't want to under do it or you'll well and truly be up the creek without a paddle!  Personally, I tend to over estimate on bigger jobs to make sure I don't get caught out, but then I don't need the work so it's a little easier for me to do that.  I'd hesitate to put a figure on it without photos. . . .

If you think its going to take you 4 hours quote a price on 6 hours. If you really don't need the job then quote on 8 hours. Just give a figure without even stating a time. If they looked shocked then so be it. Its happened to me where they expected a price of around £10 for something that I estimated would take 3 hours. "I'm not paying you more than the minimum wage to do this easy job. You are just a window cleaner, nothing special."

This was the last time I have ever been inside his restaurant as its too posh for me, a lowly window cleaner. ?

Firstly it's impossible for anyone to give you an accurate price on something that we can't see. For example it could be a majority of ground floor or could be 3 floors.

You say you usually under price, so you actually have some experience of pricing jobs like this. Why not look at it and if you think, say £200, you then stick another 25-50% on top to cover yourself.

Apologies for not being able to help but approx 100 windows doesn't tell us enough

Yes, you’re right, it’s very difficult to find a good repair company. The problem is that there are a lot of scammers in this business.
nothing needing repairing, just windows cleaning.
