    I have a shurflow pump and I've read different accounts as to which way up it should be installed - so which is it?

    doesnt really matter, will work both ways

    More chance of flooding the electrics in it if the black capped end is at the top.

    OK thanks for that - does it matter where the pump is in relation to the tank?
    I have a flat bed tank and my pump is about 12" above the floor of the van.

    Lower the pump the better.

    Ideally a smooth flow of water from outlet on tank to pump. The pump needs to be a low as possible to the water source to prevent problems/air locks and what not.

    FYI - My vans pump is very very high and still works fine.

    Does it matter where my Shurflow pump is in relationship to my tank? My tank is a flat bed tank and my shurflow pump is about 12" above the van floor. Help please :)
