Just a post to ask if anyone has had any experience with pure freedom, I've had two reel masters from them, they came covers in damage and scuffs, rang them and they sent out paint and new cover plates for the controllers.
Today I've have gone to set them up and one of the reels chains constantly comes off, and is now being replaced by them, and I have to wait a week for a new one.
It's seems there is no quality control on there factory.
Someone only had to turn the reel round once to see it was faulty. Not impressed considering the reels cost me 2k

I bought a reelmaster nearly 7 years ago and the chain kept coming off during the first week of use. I reckon it was dropped in transit and these reels are very heavy.

I ended up driving to them and they replaced the spindle and it's never missed a beat since in nearly 7 years. Absolute fantastic electric reel. I reckon it's got many years left in it yet. They are bulletproof normally...

I have 6 reel masters, they're fantastic. However, It sounds like you have received one from the same batch I had recently...

I bought 2 reels on Black Friday from WCW. Had them fitted the end of January. I realised they had sent me the cold water versions. I called WCW who passed it straight on to PF. They called me within a couple of hours and arranged a replacement...

Replacements arrived the next day and they arranged collection of the cold water ones for the next day.

The reels had that same corner slightly bent you're referring to. Rear right? The following day the chain slipped off one reel. They arranged a replacement and once it arrived they arranged collection of the one with the slipped chain.

The replacement reel had the chain slip off also. This time it slipped off immediately. They again arranged replacement the next day and booked a collection once fitted. All of these reels had a slight bend on the back right.

Now it was annoying, however the service can't be faulted. DPD were great and collected/delivered to and from my garage for me. PF put the blame on DPD, they say the reels are banged about enroute but to be honest the boxes looked in good nick.

With the pain and scratch issues you've had I wonder if they sent you one of my returns by accident (or deliberately thinking they've fixed the issue)

Yes back right, that's so strange. Yes they also said it was due to couriers, but the packaging was in new condition, something is going on the factory. I have to wait a week for a replacement

That will likely be because they need a part. This happens a lot with them. I think it's a cheek to moan about the courier when you've decided to stop offering pallets and start putting them in boxes.

I had a similar issue years ago so sent both reeks back and had a full refund, then several years ago bought a stacking stainless steel system and dealt with a guy called Tommy he was first class , reels are good but still not without faults the way they have fitted the outlets in the centre of the reels they both leak and without taking them out and completely stripping them down it’s impossible to tighten it up I expect better for 2 k but they are good reels , the chain is a pita to put back on if it does come off very poor design with that plate that comes off inside the reel it should have a removable end plate , also the adjustment for the chain is a poor design with those 4 bolts ,very surprising for an engineering company, they are however very heavy duty reels and I would recommend them ,but quality control dies seam hit and miss , think that will get worse now wcw own the company.
