This over spin kit you speak of, on mine on the left hand side of the reel there is a bolt with a hex head which looks like if I turned it, it would maybe thread down onto the spindle, is this it?

Yes it should have a small nylon block thingie lol under the hexhead bolt tighten that to your desired tension ?

Didn't check for the nylon thingie this morning, but tightened it up a 1/4 turn and it's defo better

Update: Had a good chat with Paul from Pure Freedom yesterday. After trying a few things he was pretty sure it was the controller that was the problem, which he’d never experienced before. So sent me out a new one yesterday afternoon and received it today. Replaced the original with the new one and all is good, might have a problem with it being too loose now ?. Excellent customer service I have to say ?
