Previously I have always used a Flojet Pump with no problems until they wore out through age but needed a new pump so decided to try a Shurflo. My system is a filter as you go in the back of the van so we have tank with tap water running through a 10" sediment filter to a pre pump filter to the pump then through a resin vessel to the hose reel to the pole with flow control on the pole hose. Set it all up with the new pump and used at work today. It works fine except one problem I never had with the flojet and that is rapid cycling every couple of seconds. The only way I ca stop this is to have the pole control valve fully open but of course do not want to have a full blast all of the time just a steady flow. The rapid recycling does not affect the flow in any way just very annoying.

Anyone experienced this and any ideas how to stop it. The flojet pump would kick in with the flow and when the flow was stopped would run for a bit then shut off.
Thanks. Rob.

Have you tried recalibrating the controller - see Spring Youtube.
It doesn't sound as though he has a controller. It sounds like he is using the pole control valve/tap as a way to reduce his flow.

He needs a Spring flow controller to reduce his flow. If he continues the way he is, that pressure switch is going to burn out.
