WCF

Help Support WCF:

that looks, really good mate, let me know how you go on with reel although, i have one sorted now i like how the reel works from looking at x lines website
I’m looking at it as a more investment type thing as I payed the extra for roler Gide and soft start control if I get 2 or 3 years out of it I can just buy the reel with out the extras witch will be far Cheeper so can just swop extras on to new one that’s if they also last ??

The controller looks very good my first hd was amazing but second was totally ? the second one had a duff controller it was a red thumb push thing that was doggy from day one so upgraded to the yellow box one that was good controller this orange one looks similar so fingers crossed it’s as good

3 years what are you doing to them I will have had my PowerUp 4 years this year and it's never missed a beat
Ide be happy if mine lasts they long it’s the bearings that went on my first totally seezed up was spraying them with wd40 maby that was what killed them ?

My second one had faulty controller so used the hand winder for 3 weeks then that broke replaced controller all worked fine for a bit then the hole central shaft broke and chain fell off put back on it it keped falling off so went back to manual reels for bit

WD40 isn't really a lubricant. It has solvents in that evaporate off so leave very little lubrication and can actually destroy any lubricant that was in the bearings to start with!

WD40 is good for getting rid of moisture in things like distributor caps or it's ok as a penetrating oil but not great.

Always best to use the correct lubrication. Using the wrong type can actually be worse than not using any!

that's not a bad way of thinking lee, it is an investment but one which you can add on or take off as you need to so should last you years

 I just use a bit of 3-in-one oil on the chain once in a blue moon that's it, it worked on my bike chain as a kid seems to work well enough
