I am on new estates, picked up another 2 jobs today, just think losing cause of winter got to me a bit, never happened too me yet, so as I see now, you win some, you lose some

ya will jayjay but it does take time...

I have one on an estate for ages then...two and now three and they all went monthly I could canvass and pick up more if I tried...but with time it will come...

I had one on a new estate and the one that gave me that job stopped me for ages she has just come back now so thats two...

and in the next avenue just got two more....its suprising how it builds up..

many a day I say bugger this for a job I will sell up but ....you really have to write em down first...

I have just got a couple of new jobs, which are to be done in October then back again in April time, one is for £60, away up a hill track, so I dont mind not doing that in winter, lovely view. As long as its not your whole round saying that. Remember to offer to do insides of present custys.

One bad customer can ruin your day - don't let it

I had one this week have a fit saying my pure water was an environmental hazard - it got to me

Then next day picked up this ..View attachment 5371

And felt better!

Yeah mine was a £10 semi where I do 10 or so

He said it's anodised water that goes in the drains and KILLS PEOPLE ! I said it's just water and agreed to get ladder off and use water plus soap . He then gave me a letter about ' surfactants' being dangerous

Ironically I have found out surfactants are in washing up liquid - am going back next time to put him straight

You shouldn't be drinking it @cheapncheerful! Pure tries to return to it's natural state so it leeches all the minerals from your body! Much needed minerals!! But you're not dead yet so I guess it's ok......

Any advice or recommendations folks or you think I, my on target for first year
You can never be on target as you can always use more work

I was wondering on shopfronts, if you don't use a ladder, and just use pole and squeegee, how you touch up the tops, water, soap marks etc
You dont mate lol there is always a line of soap at the bottom of the glass unless you wipe it by hand. Yeah it's possible to get the sides ok but not the bottom at that height. Woops i thought you meant at height! Sorry! Lol

you dont you end up doing everything with no need to detail

Thanks all
Hi @jayjay80 local to me, also inside my first year and really starting to pick up now, just keep on doing a good job and gaining new work via what ever means works best for you. Customer recommendation is a good route to building a solid round along with canvassing of course.

I had a new quote the other day..all was well until he said do you use ladder and cloth?? As i am not a fan of that smart water pole thingie

I messaged back "it's irrelevant what method you prefer i use both water fed pole and traditional methods fepending on each individual job

My work comes with a satisfaction guarantee and if there is anything wrong i will always come back and sort it,"

He replied straight away with "no problem thanks when can you fit me in?"

Gotta put people straight sometimes

Drinking pure is ok i suppose but if drinking it out the tank that can be a breeding ground for legionaires and other bugs so that is why I wouldn't drink it
