Roof Cleaning - Scrape or Pressure Wash

WCF

Help Support WCF:

On the ones we have done we have put the downpipes into an old sand tonn builders bag so the moss stays in the bag and the water drains through still have to dig the dirt out as the bags to heavy to lift ??? but at least it keeps most of the dirt in one place especially if you use a fsc

Thing with biocides is you need to apply it heavily to get a non patchy result it has better coverage than hypo imo it needs to have 3 days of dry weather beforehand and 24 hours dry after so wether conditions are critical

It doesn't damage the tiles IMO, we 'steam clean' 90% of roofs and have no issues.

We don't steam clean if the roof looks knackered (potential leaks) or if they've got newish concrete tiles (adding years of weathering to the coating)

Clay and slate are the same colour all the way through so they get steamed.

Tile manufactures are always going to advise against getting your roof cleaned as the more roofs cleaned the less tiles they'll sell
When you say steam are you talking no water steam only
Or just the standard steam cleaning unit which are really ultra hot water which is still pressure washing
Genuine question just trying to understand of the methods people are using
