Scrims

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I just got delivered the other day 50 microfiber cloths for £13.95 use them the other day, they are on ebay ill put a link on tomorrow if your interested .

Scrims all day long. Microfiber and fishscales take a too long to dry. 1 or 2 scrims I use a day. Depending if I dry it or not on my lunch. I never reuse the same scrim the next day. I like a nice clean crispy
Same here, scrim all day every day.

I think they're about a metre square or there abouts.

I use a microfibre for a cill wipe. 2 scrims max per day, 1 it's a nice sunny day.

Each to their own I guess...

They're just good quality hand towels (90 or 100 x 50cm), they range from £2 to £3.50, depending where you get them. Best to get as plain as pos, because the ribbing designs are no use to us.
Going to buy couple tomorrow iron, thanks pal.

Good on you. when you've cut them in half, just put them in some hot water with washing up liquid, then rinse and dry. You may find that they will take a day or two to settle, but I'm sure you'll find them OK. Let me know. With mine, I only use until too wet, then start with a clean one. Then rinse them out dry them when I get home.

I've been using Unger Large Microfibre for many years. Pack of 5 is £20+vat.

They are excellent and last for ages.

One wet and one for detailing and dry.

Just don't wash them with fabric conditioner.

You can use anything to wipe sills but I usually use my older microfibre cloths.

I have tried microfibre cloths, but didn't like them very much. I know that a lot of folks use them.

My advice would be stay away from pre washed scrims, always too soft and fluffy for my liking. Buy some fishscale microfibres too.
I agree microfibre or fishscale are the way forward i don't buy scrims no more

boil your scrims,  remove scrims after boiled,    you now have your stock for your scrim soup,    add vegetables and bring back to the boil , then simmer.

lush with some crusty bread
