Hi all,

Right then ,just thought I’d share my thought

Been doing wfp tops and tradding bottoms what I’ve noticed in terms of been quicker there’s not much difference in my speed than tradding like before!

Cuz I use trolley system so I’m thinking by the time I set up everything it’s not much different than tradding!

Occasionally when I have wfp most of the house then it seems I’m quicker!

Does any1 else use this method?

If so would luv to hear back from yourselves

Or is it just me?

Using a trolly I think will be slower than a van mount due to lifting it in and out the van re filling it , with fixed reels we pull up and walk to the far end of the property and work back towards the van , personally think poling  tops and trading bottoms is a waist of time pole the lot much quicker but with a trolly you would use more water and probably have to re fill ,just to give you an idear we can clean between 5 - 7 3 bed semis per hour per man ,

I dont see the point in this personally. One of my customers likes wfp top and trad bottoms and I hate doing it. Just a nuisance to me and not any quicker (or slower tbf) Unless if its to save water then I'd never to this as an option.

If you are tradding bottoms and using a trolley you are never going to to be quicker.

I used a trolley for over 4 years and was quicker than trad once up to speed, but doing multiple houses in one street, back and forth changing containers was just wasting time over the course of a day, some lads make the cheapest financial switch to wfp with a trolley or backpack and expect to work at lightning speed, perfection takes time to master.

Agree with all of you!
Just wanted to break customers in slowly to thee idea of wfp
Think this winter will start doing full houses!
Now that I got my RO!
Thanks to spruces advice[emoji106]
Just need to set it up now!
Saying that although started wfp at the beginning of the year even now some customers don’t understand the concept of wfp
How do you deal with that?
Although tried explaining to the best of my knowledge!

Its pretty simple lol. What dont they get? It's pure water so it dry clear. Simples.

Pure water dries spotless so they say. My problem is with the type of windows they have upstairs. They all leave them tilting in the way to bring in fresh air. I would need to go up a ladder and try and close them.

With care you can clean most windows if they are open with sash windows being the worst , any window that’s open into the room is oviously a no no we just do the rest and leave any that cannot be done without getting water into the room

Using a trolley is just as quick or even quicker on some jobs

I have used both on my round

Pulling hose round corners etc is time consuming and I can be round the back cleaning with a trolley quicker

Refilling doesn't take more than a few seconds with a bilge pump in your tank

I clean around 2 x 3 beds with 22l in a backpack on trolley

On compact work it is surprising how quick it can be

They don't need to understand the concept

Do what I did and just 100% change

I never said anything to customers unless asked

Then I just said I don't use ladders anymore due to too many near misses and they will dry 100% fine as it is 100% pure water I am using

Any problems give me a shout and I'll come back and sort it

No phone calls and never lost a customer

My attitude is I am paid to clean windows and that is what I do.. the method is irrelevant to the customer

Wouldn't tell a tradesman what screwdriver or drill to use or tell a mechanic he has to use spanners not sockets

I don't let them have a say in the matter
