As the software I use is being withdrawn the owner is retiring , ( www.collectmyround.co.uk)

out of the two what’s the best to use.

particularly need to incorporate go cardless

It’s a shame as the system I use is so user  friendly & simple I will miss it.

How is support for these two apps?

thanks in advance

Mr B

I’m afraid this is one of those questions that boils down to personal taste and how you like to run your software. For me, I use the Squeegee App and love it. It incorporates GoCardless, as well as a whole host of other features with more added on a monthly basis. The support is really good, generally they are quick at replying to emails and messages etc. But I like to run my business on the go on my phone so the app works for me. It takes some getting used to when you first use it but once you’ve got your head round it, it makes life loads easier. It costs £9.80 pm and they have just scrapped the extra 0.5% fee they added on GoCardless so now no extra charges for that:

As for CP. I used it a long time ago and didn’t like it. But I have heard it’s got a lot better recently. It is more web based so is better suited to a computer or surface pro type device. I think their customer service is supposedly on the money too. It comes in at £29 pm so more expensive.

I didn't see any update to cleaner plannern in the three years I was using it.

Waited days for replies to emails too.

Squeegee constantly improving.

Cleaner planner requires 10-15 mins at the end of each day to submit gocardless, send invoices, / print next days etc, whereas this is all done while your at work with squeegee.

I prefer Cleaner Planner as it's far better laid out on the whole and the amount of data it has is like a spreadsheet.

If you have 100's of clients on GoCardless then Squeegee app will cost you near enough the same as CP, I could have switched to Squeegee for £15.00 a month I think it was but the extra charge Squeegee charge for GC transactions would have cost me almost £15.00 a month more so around £30.00 a month

Squeegee have just got rid of the extra charges on GC fees now so it’s just the 1% flat fee. And the App is £9.80 pm.

hhhmmm, quite a good question, I've got both cleaner planner and squeegee running side by side to judge which is the better one for me, I've had cleaner planner for over four years and its good, outdated but good and very reliable.

squeegee at the beginning was so so infuriating I nearly binned it a fair few times  and I was constantly picking my teddies back up and its true they have had many teething problems some caused by the ios stystem

I quite like it now as I've realised I don't have to use all the bells and whistles it has to offer and is proving itself to be very usefull.

I honestly think that, you'll have those people that like this or that but, the only way you'll see which one works for you is to try them both for a few months side by side and then review which one you'll go for

But I like to run my business on the go on my phone so the app works for me.
The above comment is the key for why I use squeegee app. Cleaner planner isn't so good for this, I had it for 6months.

From others comments, squeegee seems to have a lot of glitches when using all the features like email/text alerts, GC payments etc, but I just use the basic planner features so it works best for me.

If I were to use the other features I'd probably go back to CP for the stability.

By all accounts a lot of the glitches were on iOS and it is an issue with the latest iOS update that has affected 1000s of Apps not just Squeegee. They have just released a work around fix for this and the app has been a lot more stable over the last week. I use pretty much every feature, GC, text alerts, invoices by email and text etc, and this last week has been loads better.

One of my friends got really frustrated by it about a month ago and decided to do a trial on CP. So he has been running them side by side for 3 weeks. Since the fix he hasn’t used CP once and is now sticking with Squeegee as it’s the one he much prefers, he only considered moving because of these iOS issues, which are now pretty much sorted. He has also given them some really good feedback on improving invoice and quote form layouts so hopefully they will be looking a lot better and be more customisable.

iam interested in getting one of these systems.Darren from green pro said he preferred c/p cause squeegee would sometimes crash during the day and left his guys not knowing where to go next,is this still the same or has it been fixed.so he said c/p was better for him because it was server based(what ever that is) and he downloaded to his phone the night before so his system never crashed. Can any one give me mor insight into this please ThanksAnd best wishes to yoall

Darren had a big fight with Squeegee ?
Personally I love Squeegee. Its stability has improved massively. Like all software there are occasional bugs but I find the support they offer is very good.
I’ve never tried CP so can’t comment on it, unfortunately.
