Stuck pole section

Any advise on how to separate gritty wedged together pole sections? Tia.

Just run water through it and give a wiggle. Will come undone eventually

Don't put wd40 on it makes it worse

Just stripped down my SLX25 today as it had become quite stiff to operate. Though it didn't feel gritty the stiffness was being caused primarily by grit that had become embedded in the yellow stop tape. After washing the pole down inside and out, I removed the tape carefully using a scraper blade, cleaned the sticky backing off using wd40 followed by IPA then replaced the tape. Feels like a new pole again. Happy days ?

Silicon spray is the way to go.

Gt85 is oil based only non oil based lubricant says should be used with carbon sections, thought you would know this ?
