Spotted this so called  professional pure water system on eBay. My knowledge and the general consensus on the web of plumbing a 40/40 ro is different to how this is. Surely the feed water should be on an offset hole on one end and the waste and pure on the other end of the RO???

If it's used it's probably up for sale as it doesn't work properly.

The centre port is pure and the outside port on the same end is waste. The input from the prefilters is on the other end of the r/o as you say.

It wouldn't surprise me to find the membrane has been fitted the wrong way around as well.

I bet it was a so called "professional" install as well.

You don't see the average Joe using GF hoselock connectors and inline isolator valves

 
Funnily enough Grippa Tank do this type of set up which I find strange. It does work but membrane would not last long as not all the membrane sheeting will be used.
