The time has come to retire the piece of sh!t that is my van - it rains inside when it rains outside, there's a funny noise coming from the front, both the wing mirrors are falling off, one sliding door is permanently locked and the other permanently unlocked and now some little **** has put a pebble through the rear window (with no overlooking house and facing the garden of the house I was cleaning - beats me who catapulted the bloody thing!) had enough of spending money on it...
Looking on various sites it seems for my budget of around £4K I can get something like a 6 or 7 yo transit/vivaro/expert with 100k on the clock and an massive payload or I can get something with like a partner or berlingo which would be a 3/4 years old with 70k on the clock and would just fit my weight capacity. I only use 400litre tank plus gear, me and fuel etc. With ladder etc it will be approaching 600kg
My question is does anyone know weather it is more cost effective to run a small newer van at max weight capacity or an older van at half weight capacity?
