Tool storage ideas

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Yeah they’ve been great thanks - I just changed the swivels on them after a week or two to the same ones as the power up reel and they’ve been earning their keep every day! Think I need a bigger van 😂
All looks very organised and efficient to me. If you have more space you'll fill it is the problem. That's a good tip with changing the swivels. I assume they don’t leak?

Just invested in some brush holders from @Skxawng. They look just the job for organising my van. Anyone got any other van storage advice and ideas. I have several bits already, a lot I've bought from Grippa but they won't be replicated of course.
I got these from PF when I was down that way last week. Not on website tho at the minute.
30ish quid each. Perfect for sprays and little bits and bobs.

Plastic ones work better for me I can put bits and pieces I might need to hand through the day if something fails I any anything from jets to tape for sections and I keep my screwdriver bit set with hex heads for tweaking fittings they remain contained inside the tubs I linked.

I've never used a sponge to clean windows, did you used to work at a carwash

You can keep everything you've said in the others too. Just my preference i suppose.
These feel like they would last forever. Don't think i would get that feeling from a plastic box with holes drilled in it.

Yes they’re a lot better, the original power up reel is 3 years old and has just started to drip so I’ll change the seals at the weekend but that’s pretty good I think as it’s been used daily - much prefer the mental winding speed to any other reel, the Grippa swivel seals last 5 minutes it seems before the o-rings need changing!

The van is a bit lighter come about 11am 😂 it has got updated springs on so it doesn’t sit low or roll but I haven’t taken it to a weighbridge either !

Those springy clips you mean? They were amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Spring-Loa...text&ref_=fplfs&smid=AJYURVFPR9WI1&gQT=1&th=1
These look good better than what I have maybe, I have some like these Tool Holder Clips which I bought from Aldi but they do need forcing apart initially, I carry a No#7 section in my van and have managed to fit the clips on the side of my van to keep this section secure as I only need it a few times a month.

I'm going to give these a go. Self adhesive too. We've got some similar with hooks to the side. An old boy who used to work for us added them to his van. Hold brushes well. I don't need them for brushes but for gutter cleaning tools etc they would be very useful. I like the trays I have from Grippa but if you actually store brushes in them, which is what they're made for, the brushes bend out of shape.

What are you using to hold the brushes?
I used the sockets that you buy from Gardiner to go on the brush head and modified them so I could attaché the brush to them, there’s just a stainless pin dropped in through a hole holding them on, there’s a chap that’s designed some proper ones now that are cheap enough and a bit less diy! 😂 https://www.rootek-designs.co.uk/product/14076656/brush-holder-for-gardiner-brush-heads
These ones are the same as what I did and take up a bit less room than the rootek ones I reckon, https://progrip.uk/products/brush-h...21328&pr_ref_pid=9644381798736&pr_seq=uniform
