Urgent help needed

I've just fitted a strainer to my shurflo water pump and now I can't prime the pump.

I've tried taking it off and priming it without the strainer and still no luck...

Now im a pump down and loads if work to catch up on [emoji21][emoji21][emoji21]

Any idea?

Disconnect the hose going out of your pump at the hose reel end, turn on the pump and suck until the water comes through.

It's just not budging, when I'm sucking the pipe it's not releasing any pressure either so I don't air is getting in

Where is your pump in relation to your tank?

Is your pump the right way up?
Is the hose going the correct way through the pump?
Is there a blockage in the house or tank outlet?

The outlet is fine as the other pump is working great

Try disconnecting the second pump and priming the first one, the once that’s primed then try the second?

About 3/4 of a tank... the other pump is running fine

What happens when you disconnect the hose before the pump?
Does water come out then?

Yes... I think I'm just going to have to take it apart and see what's happening. There could have been a bit of paper or plastic that's got into the pump and blocking it internally

Sorry if this suggestion sounds daft mate but i had this happen a few months back. Rather than trying to suck the water through, blow the pipe instead, i done this and heard the air bubble go inside the tank, put everything back together then all was working fine again.

I've tried that too... I've even filled the run off pipe full of water nd tried to blow that through the pump but no luck
