I was always lead to believe that you should go for the biggest tank that your van can comfortably hold? My reasoning is you don't need to fill it to the top all the time, only when you have a full day.

You should only fit the biggest tank your van is legally allowed to carry

Yes most important thing is the weight when full of water, half the vans allowed weight is the optimum.

you say say you using a 350 litre tank does this have a frame and if so are u thinking of selling. 

Its only for a Peugeot partner hence the small tank needed

not sure what size tank you after, but I have a 650 pure freedom sitting spare. If am honest I don’t want to sell but if it a deal breaker am sure we could sort suton out ?
