Wagtail on the unger pole?

you cant buy the channel. the good thing is the wagtail channel is made of a soft alloy and easy to straighten . how i do it is leave it fitted in the handle [you dont want it kinking where the centre screw hole is] and then hold channel up to a wall , use your eyes to judge if its straight compared to the brickwork/mortar line . if bent out of true i put the channel over my knee and flex it a tad to get it straight,then compare it up to the brick again.

Not seen the 'Combi' style channel for sale, but if you have the 'Slimline' channel, I've had a couple from WCW :thumbsup:.......

Are you using Wagtail Angle Arm or even an Adjustable Angle Adapter on the pole.....makes a massive difference fanning with a Wagtail on a pole :thumbsup:.......

I also have the black 'Wagtail Erkenomic Pole Tip' (compound angle) fitted to my swimming-pool poles and homemade short flexi pole.......

The homemade flexi pole was done by using a hot air gun, heating one end of electrical conduit (cut to 3') and push-fit this onto the compound angle, let cool and job done for less than half the price from Cleaning Spot :thumbsup:......

Or......

Even cheaper again.....AND works just a good /emoticons/smile.png.......heat up the conduit and form a bend similar to the Angle Arm, let cool, cut to the length you require.....job done for the price of a 2m length of conduit...about £2ish :thumbsup: :thumbsup:.

If your channel is fine , then it's either the rubber or you technique.

Are you straight pulling or fanning?

What type of Wagtail are you using?

Fanning but it is only on the right hand side of the glass.slimline combi. Maybe I try with angle arm and see.

What length channel? I find 14 and 16 fine but for the life of me I cannot get on with the 18 and above (slimline or Widebody). Also I find if you simply jam the Wag on the end of a pole the angle is all wrong for swivel. I use either the Erk tip or an angle adaptor on a back angle...

Check handle and disc connection. Too much 'slop'...tighten it until it has no sideways or up and down play but still swivels freely. Also check that there is no wear at the holes (handle and disc) they're a precision tool but unfortunately not precision engineered. I've got it sorted but quite honestly I shouldn't have to...it's not like we get them free with a box of Weet Bix... /emoticons/smile.png

Check it, regardless. New or not....these things need to be finely tuned to give you consistent results. You're using Wagtail Red rubber? Have you tried anything else...or...have you tried flipping it around. Rubber may have got 'chaffed' either in transport or on shop display...

Yes red rubber flipped no difference

what ,inside your home? i personally only use the wagtail rubber from april-oct and then it starts to chatter oct- apr

Yes at home so I can check.I do not use it because it leaves water so it is at home.
