You are right and when I had a 1&1 site there was no SEO etc etc and my rankings were poor, now I pay £10 per month to someone that knows what they are doing and whilst not 'bombarded' with queries I am getting an average of 1 new customer signed up per day through my web site.

Wish I had paid someone a year ago, I am now starting to move away from canvassing (still the best method IMO) and focusing my effort on online, website, facebook, freeads etc etc, and I am getting a very steady stream of business from it. Even considering going with Checkatrade now.

It's the business name. I think it's very good some businesses are named after the owner don't understand your point?

People will be searching for window cleaning and not window wash so google based on your website your key word is window wash so will not come up when doing a search for window cleaning.

When you type in Google your website it comes up"Count on proficient window cleaning services by calling our conservatory specialists on 0121 659 6414 in Birmingham, West Midlands" This is your old description which I see you have changed to :-

Count on Dial a Window Wash- window and conservatory cleaning specialists. - I would change this to Window Wash, window cleaning and conservatory cleaning specialists.

Google looks at Title and Description then matches it with your page. At the moment it does not match so will be low in rankings.

If you do this then 3 months later you should see some results.

NJones built my site 3 years ago and I am ranking 1st on google search for spennymoor window cleaner or window cleaner spennymoor .

I have a business Facebook page and use the 3 search words people would google in a lot of my posts this also helps

Basically Poles Apart if you have paid for your site build upfront and are paying £30 a month for SEO and hosting you are paying way over the odds £30 X 12 = £360 a year say you keep it this way for 3 years total £1080 .

There was no upfront payment and like I said if it brings in business I don't care what it costs when I familiarise myself with it I'll edit everything myself, the solar panel service was written by me when I was tinkering with it.

Doug thank you for the advice but I think you've misunderstood my points, the keywords used have been districts followed by the service provided eg "Window Cleaning" Window wash is only a business name. For example no one is going to google "Green Pro Clean" when looking for a window cleaner.
