Excuse title not suggesting to replace toilet paper for a wfp....was just wondering what is your stance on basically using the pole system on whole house not just tops, i used to pole tops and blade bottoms but recently started clean the whole house with pole as i had it out what's the point in not using it.....found i getting more jobs done per day.........just curious of views. cheers

Some people blade the bottom windows as they are trying to conserve water i.e. they do their run in a car and don't have the space for a big tank.

I agree there's a guy close to me that uses a punto and he only carries 50 ltr , I work out my estate and can carry 250ltr so I do everything with my wfp

van is ready to go tomorrow, top + bottoms for the first time, not just the odd one but all. luckilly all in one housing estate. all new builds so all easy to clean.

looking forward to it.

i will still be expecting something to happen to ruin it all.

set-up today, no leaks. set-up a lot different than my first set-up.

a lot of help and hints from you guys, THANK-YOU

I always carry my trad gear in the van just incase things go tits up but I wfp everything now including pets and children if they should get in my way /emoticons/biggrin.png

i wfp every thing but some times its quicker to trad if u dont need a ladder ect but 90 percent of the time its wfp the lot for my round , the back pack is nce tho for when u do tops only funny anouth today i did a road were i normly trad the lot the fronts r high but the backs have flat roofs with windows an doms ect that need cleaning an wfp is out as i still need a ladder to get up there ect , but i thault sod it im guna take the back pack down an do the front tops an i realy injoyed it no high aquad windows to strugle on plane sailing it was an i did the road mch quicker.

You soon find out which methods are best as each have their pro's and con's

its two bay windows above a double conny so i have to roof walk....I used to do it from the other side and then this evolved.....always looking for a quicker way....lucky for me i figured out ...not to fill it before i dragged my trolley up there....theres a nice fence to foot my ladder and the valley is new lead....

i keep refining my wfp jobs with trolley postion etc....will get there in the end....

as for the post that is a typical full wfp job i do...all nice glass....the proper stuff..../emoticons/biggrin.png of course they dont know i have switched to wfp ....yet.....

er...well...hmmmmm....it was only a tenner when i first started but he kinda said it wont be any more will it...i said no....a few months after he saw how long it took me he kept giving me an extra two quid and so its now twelve...

believe me ...trying to get local work around here is hard ....i have been out delivering magazines today and judging by the downstairs windows as i pass it looks like there are very few un cleaned houses about...

still ...i always seem to be busy in my own little way...

got a gutter clean on monday....apparently...the windowcleaner used to do it but he wont anymore...they are rather high from memory ...but what will be will be....if i am not here on tuesday:eek:

what pole is that u r using cnc it looks like china classic clamps on a inoics pole??? is this the bannah pole??

I try to avoid clambering over pitched roofs myself as most jobs I can get to using a longer wfp one way or another.

You just have to way up the risks involed if certain windows can be cleaned safely or not. If not then you have a choice to risk it or leave them out if they can't be cleaned safely from the inside instead. The way I look at it for me there is no point in risking getting hurt just trying to earn a few quid.

I'm not saying turn loads of work down but better just to invest in kit that can make your job safer and easier to do.

i never risk my self ant wrth it but ill walk on flat roofs this road i do has all flat roofs on the back some have ralins to clime over with pato doors ect an 1 window its just easer an quicker to trad them some have point slate roofs with windows behind i pole them if i can get brush in there ill take a pic of the jobs when i go to colect the cash on monday

just saw u have no ladder mits or tape tutttttt tutttttt alan willl telll u offfffffffffffffff:D
hi glad to see you back tenchy missed you of late thought you had retired on your profits from that vision stuff....

yeh banana is only a cheapo pole but......i have already had my moneys worth...but boy oh boy it was a workout this week ....its bloomin heavy...still ...saves going to the gym..

i do have ladder mitts but they cost me £15 so i keep em in the car to save wear....most of the time my ladders are on the brickwork and they are taped although...its long since worn off ...another job to do..

i will tell people its much safer and better to wfp the tops than use my ladder:D

in fact...i may have to charge more to trad windows soon...well its the extra cost of the insurance for working of a ladder ...honest...
