What is your complete current set up for pole cleaning top windows?

Wcw is free delivery but the 3-4 days delivery takes the p I s h

Ordered swiveloc from there today as wcw worked out nearly 20 quid with vat and delivery compared to 12 with vat

Ah thanks everyone for the info looked at all the replies and great.

I think the Unger 0-Degree Swivel Loc Squeegee is good for me on the pole. Does the ninja one Unger do swivel like the 0 degree? or is tat jst locking one?

I think then I will for pole work use the unger opti pole think thats the one at 20ft, think thats more than enough and then the sperate T BAR and Squeegee, using the angel bar and 0 degree swivloc. I think thats it. If anyone recommends a better set up thats costing a little more but similar to that let me no.

Great to get advice off you guys. I did think before comign on here window cleaners all used the same stuff and equipment but so mnay use ither TRAD OR WFT or trad pole etc etc its all down to what you like.

I would get the 30° and the 0° as it gives you more flexibility for the sake of an extra tenner

All jobs are different so don't limit yourself

great post ..love the vid s daveyboy1....i have tried the two handed thing many times but my brain doesnt fire on that many cylinders as you probably all know...i used to play piano and was great on one hand on either side but putting them together made my head hurt...

yep many a day i have broken the boredom of the job by just doing em a different way.....bit like my playing with the dark side at the moment...it is refreshing when you do the same thing over and over to try a different way...of course...sometimes i have my hand forced as something will just break and you have no choice but to do it another way....at the end of the day...forgetting the time factor...which of course is the money factor....its just great to have a choice.

and one thing as an old dog thats done most windy things.....is to remember that first job...we have all been there...the first window...can you or cant you clean it...so please keep posting let us know how you get on as it keeps me alive remembering that first step which of course once you get enough work you just take for granted...

i will also say....i had nightmares about a new job on wed night....i always get worried about new jobs...they are...new and the people are new....but...soon they become all part of the merry go round of the window cleaning life...

yes something we take for granted our health.

..i had a funny thing last year...i was lounging on my chair as i do ...and i just went so weak i really couldnt lift the remote control.

..i thought it was funny and as i was off work on holiday anyway didnt bother but when i felt the same the next day.....i started getting scared...and the third day...i was thinking ...is this it...is this what happens at the end...i felt okay just had absolutely no strength..woke up day four and started to feel better again but...very scary...

Nice post mate. I am nervous about every little thing, so much so its delayed me even starting out. I have made a bold decision in not being at my long term ofice job and am now skint, but I had to go from there it was killing me and health wise making me depressed and got to much. I just keep putting barriers up in starting and the costs and will it work, but well, I am just going for it this week now, only due to the help form yourself and a few other guys on here. I will deffo keep you updated and probably ask for more advice (I am sorry).

I have qote on my car for social and business use and have a quote for PLI insurance, thats not much really is it for anyone. I onyl have the HMRC to inform once I get going, I can not think of anything else now to do. So the flyers are done at vista print and ready to order and I have decided on my kit but was going to ask here once listing it if you all think it is in order and the corect stuff i need. I have windows to practice on and practice and practice.

yes as above you are panicking and its understandable but you have a few things on your side....one the customer doesnt know you have little windowcleaning experience so bluff it..dont give the game away...

.two ...you dont need to care about time as you have little work so no point in rushing and most important of all.....use your eyes...and this is the strange thing you see me doing.....bending down and looking at the glass from all angles...if you cant see anything then....you have cleaned the window...and your off...

of course ...there is a lot lot more to it than that...dealing with many obstacles people put in the way...like patio furniture on the patio a stupid place to put it and there always a plant right where you want to put your ladder...

only last week the patio suddenly dropped four inches and i didnt notice and i felt that....ouch...

but remember...you are now free....oh its good to be free....especially when you sneak off to spoons for a nice chicken and ribs combo and two pints of ruddles...yummy..and yes ...i went back to work afterwards to pay for it....

.of course if somebody is in the room that s the best bit cause i havent seen them as i am looking at the glass and then suddenly they wave or say something.. this double glazing is so reflective sometimes...

I know ladders are more dangerous than standing on the ground but I enjoy it and am happy 3 floors up a block of flats on mine

well...as long as the wind doesnt blow...the tiniest breeze on the ground doesnt half get bigger up there...

i have been a bit worried of late when leaning back up a ladder....i dont know why ...but i just dont feel as safe...i think its as you get older...wont effect you yet as your only a youngster...

i do remember a recurring nightmare of a block of flats which had some windows really out of reach which i could just about do...but i dont think they ever actually existed....thankfully hasnt come back in a long time..

I have two sets of ladders on my van. One is 15 rungs closed, the other is 11 rungs closed. Not sure what their full extended lengths are. I just seem to know which to grab off the van when needed.

I'm considering getting rid of both and replacing them with one decent triple.

yep i only carry my one ladder which is far bigger than i need most days but i thought if i cant lift that on and off the roof rack its time to chuck it in....i do have an even bigger ladder but although only a couple of rungs bigger it weighs a lot more and so i only use that on one block of flats...and if you want me to lift that out...its a big ladder charge of £20..or so it says on the invoice...

I don't use ladders very often these days, but I would never not carry a ladder. There just doesn't seem to be any point in replacing two just to sit on the van. I have never used a triple but for guttering etc I think it would work out ok.
