Cold Hands

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I've finally got some sealskins after four years of saying I'll get some. I must say slightly disappointed. They're ok for a couple of cleans but not brilliant.

Fortunately, after a couple of cleans its usually warmed up enough not to bother with them.

I've been wearing 2 pairs of surgical disposable gloves when it has been really cold.

Normally I would wear one pair just to keep my hands clean & dry.

Get some hand cream, and surgical gloves, Wear them for bed with lots of the cream on. Will heal the hands quicker.

that's why I changed to WFP, I did 1 year trad and it can kill you hands. I bought the £3 asda gloves and 2 pairs have just about lasted the winter. They are about to fall apart but for the cost it doesn't matter.

Oh your such a tease /emoticons/tongue.png .....

I thought you were going to sugest something else there Shazzy

Sealskinz with silk inner liners are pretty good and certainly shouldnt I interfere with your detailing. Sealskinz do fall apart after a year or so and still arent the warmest. On really cold days I have used ski gloves from aldi.....lovely and warm. I havemade sure that I brought a pair one size to small so I get a real tight fit.

Where I live the local cleaning supplier sells hundreds on boxes of latex disposable gloves every week. I prefer the vinyl which come ini loads of sizes. They have talc inside so they are easy to get on and cost £3 a box of 100. I use a box a week as at that price I Change them almost every job because they rip. they keep you hands free of water and pretty warm too and stop the cracking between fingers.

I use them all year round as great dog poo protection too.

My local chemist said to put the cream on and then cottons gloves as it lets your skin breathe.

Obviously they are more qualified then me. (just). I suppose any gloves will work, cottow would deffo be more comfortable, I just used the cheap 20 in a pack for 99p.
Still works.
