yh it doesnt make a difference, apparently the hard ground caused by the dry winter isnt being penetrated by the rain, therefore no increase in available drinking water resources
I can not beleive it has made no difference all the fields round hear are flooded it has not stopped raining at all today .It is just a excuse by the water board if they fixed there bloody leaking pipes we would be fine
the fact that the fields are flooding shows what im saying about the hard ground, it makes the hose pipe ban even more bitter when its raining constantly but until the ground softens it really wont make any difference to the resources
Weve had a couple of weeks of steady rain though to soften the ground up, so cant see how that can be the case, after a long dry spell and you get a down pour, sure, but weve had some nice steady rain for a couple of weeks before these downpours......
