Yes. With difficulty. Clean the joints when you free it.Has anyone else ever got the gutter vac tubes stuck together ? :swear:If so how did you get them apart ?
Yep i went through a game of tug of war today with them, i thought with them being carbon there would be less chance of them sticking together (i was wrong) oh well it was a learning curve with a few strong swear words /emoticons/biggrin.pngI've had customers and even passers by in the past playing tug of war with me trying to separete poles stuck together. /emoticons/biggrin.png
Best way to try first is flush the poles through with a hose then try twisting them apart. If that falls then play tug of war which can be quite fun
Actually there is a way...they got stuck on the job I was separating them with big clamps. Now I use vaseline on them or any kind of grease and no more problems. It's the fine particales of tile grit that makes them stick together and there is not much that you can do to stop it happening.
I have the same type with clamps and they do work with grease.if you use clamps and tight them up grease is not a problem.they will not slide out from each other. The omni aerospace t1 ali guttervac poles I use are part telescopic meaning are made up of 2 size diameter poles per section. This means the smaller poles slides inside the larger ones so can be clamped into any position/length I want. Downside is they are still heavy on acute angles and above 2 storey height especially when crud sticks to the inside of the poles. Being part telescopic I would not be able to grease them because the clamps would not work. All I can do is make sure the poles are kept clean but they still can get stuck when I go to split them down.
