Hi Lads
Just a bit of advise please
I have just changed my Ro membrane to a hf4 4040
It is pumping water out at 20 to 29 tds.
Is this membrane busted?
I was under the impression that the rejection rate was 90 to 95 on these.
It has sat for over a year in cold I think it could be busted?
What do you all think?
Thank you
Phillip

The cold weather busted my ro during the the winter but the water it was pumping out was over 100. I live in a hard water area so that’s why it was so high.
Do you know the tds of your water straight from the tap ? Sounds like it might be a busted membrane unfortunately.

It needed wetting in, and flushed.
I did this for a couple of hours and tweaked it, and it is fine now.
The hf4 need to run on 100psi where my hf5 would run on any thing.
I get the membrane and all purification equipment from Gaps water.
They are great, the lady there called Gill really nows all the kit inside out.
I would highly recommend them as she helped me get sorted today. Likes of window cleaning whare house ect suppliers have not got a clue how stuff works or it's correct use.
Thanks for the replys
Part timer you were right
I should have just called you and asked.

Erm I've helped out quite a few of Gaps customers sort out their membrane issues. ;)
