I haven't got the biggest customer base by any means it helps to keep things tight regards paying usually,

but just of late a dozen or so really ******* it about with tricks like paying just before next clean is due,or losing the envelope ....oh I thought my hubby had paid it..........I dropped about 25% of previos work over the last 3 years cos of the 'players'as I call them wouldn't mind but they all seem like they got cash RANT OVER

I have a few messers myself. 1 in particular is getting ditched the moment I find someone else in her area as she makes up part on a nice mini round.

Get this one. She is 8 weekly. I texted the night before to leave money hidden. Got text back asking how much for front only half price I say, FFS it's a 2 bed semi. She texts back saying great do front only. About an hour later she texts again and says leave it for about 6 weeks and she'll have the whole house done. That's what she thinks /emoticons/biggrin.png goodbye Mrs Messer.

Lol,I'm sure some of these people think we are sat around waiting for their call for a yay or nay, like their £12 means we'll drop everything at a drop of a hat.

They don't realise we have bills to pay. There £10 don't mean much but it does when 10 of them don't pay. I leave a SAE with a stamp & still have to chase em up. And now I get ones in that say can you leave a envolope & we're post it. No there for people who arn't in. Yer at a house roughly 20 mins on average. That gives them plenty of time to look for there cheque book or a tenner. How come you can find it to send it to me in my envolope??? Have now told these people I'm adding £1 on if you want me to leave a SAE. That's my rant over to.:666::finger:

They might have been saying they were a bit short of money this month as they havnt got anything coming in. I'm dealing with a customer like this at the moment, but shes been a customer for 2 and a half years, tea maker, quick payer, and appreciative....so I like her, so I've bent my rules for her a little.

I will say that when ANYONE asks me for a quote I pay particular attention to identify why they are asking me to clean their windows.....oh I want the work but I need to also establish if im the seventh window cleaner they have had !!!!

The customer above is a gem considering all her issues- Ice cold can of coke every day this summer.

I always listen out for the golden... "my last window cleaner just stopped coming".

Double priced first clean soon weeds out the chaff though.

I have a few, but some of them are really nice people, and just forget.....I got really behind with my collecting just lately when I looked I was owed a grand....I soon went collecting, im down to £500 now which I don't mind as its only a weeks work....Im not strict at all, but what I do now is take mobile no with new customers. Then when they don't pay for a week or so I send a text.

I always get rid of messers even if they are fit. Make sure I get my payment then ditch them. But you do have to distinguish between the messers and the forgetful ones......life is busy and we can all forget. A lot of my customers pay online and they are the most forgetful. I have everyones mobile number, so a quick text always sorts it. One particular customer, anna, always forgets and her cleans are 35 quid. I just wait till I next do hers and she pays me 70. I'm particularly lenient with anna
