the trouble is ,when you reach rock bottom you dont see things clearly cos ur confused . by the time you do see things clearly its often too late youve been suckered in [not necessarily jehovas all manner of other rubbish far worse]my own brother almost joined a sect , Church of Scientology , and my father proudly even signed his enrollment papers thinking he was signing for university entrance[at 14 !] .the sect later hounded him, ruthlessly travelling miles to find him .

i can also remember when i was at rock bottom a decade ago, homeless ,out for a walk wi my dog i saw a little naked pink man [under 2ft high] pop up in long grass and run away from me arms swinging. now its possible it was a "squirrel wi no fur" yet it ran upright -or was it imagination,iv never forgot it.

around the same time Jehovas started visiting me ,giving me the Watchtower booklets . i soon found these to be very good for lighting fires to keep warm, one twist of the intact booklet and it was an excellent firestarter . a few weeks later they happened by again but were horrified what i was doing and never bothered me again!

This is when they get adults, when they are rock bottom, its either when vulnerable as children and believe anything an adult tells them or when adults either rock bottom or about to die.

They have thought there was proof several times..I'll wait and see what happens as they usually realise it's something elseIt is very interesting when you get in to something like string theory and branes

Brian cox is very good at explaining those sort of things to those who don't get it..can see a lot of his lectures on youtube

Read most if not all of his books, he is really good.

I won't be joining this debate as its the same as every other on the internet of this subject. Creationalist gets proven wrong, changes to the next topic, gets proved wrong again, changes to the next topic, gets proved wrong and then cries that his feelings and beliefs are being violated.

Science is always evolving and we are learning more and more about the universe every day, meanwhile Christianity is constantly backtracking and bowing down to modern public pressures (g@ys and women) when the church has very conflicting views on both. Why would they do this I wonder?. ....because with information being spread by the click of a button, they have realised they have lost the grip on the world that they once had.

And this is coming from someone that was brought up religous before questioning and forming his own opinions.

any of the forum one of these? i only ask after having a chat with my ol mum- a jehovah had knocked on her door and this got me thinking of the several jehovah witness window cleaners iv seen over the yearsi can spot one at 20 yards! the telltale signs are wearing immaculate shoes/desert boots and nylon "slacks" from a catalogue View attachment 7995 rather than the usual trousers a windie might wear

although i stand to be corrected,im pretty sure they run "showboat rounds" where you do a few houses have a chat along the way and go home. Rather than a real "slogger"round where you work like a dog and then go home

As to the thread i have nothing against anybody as you can see at the start of the thread but to tell us we are not allowed our own opinions in case it offends..i thought we were adults on this forum..if you don't like a topic stay out of it
