Evening everyone, iv not long switched over to wfp and a couple of weeks ago I lost a customer because of the switch he's the only one that has cancelled and we have nice big round, anyway he said that we can't use pure water on his windows because it will void his guarantee. Has anyone had this before or is he just making a excuse to try get us to do it traditional? Before he came out with this he was quiet rude saying we are not using that pole thing on his windows. I did try educate him on how it works etc but he wasn't having any of it

I had a client years ago who had new windows fitted and the top half had plastic framework on the top of the glass to make the top half of the windows look like the little square georgian windows and was told by the firm that they had quite few windows damaged by wfp. So if the got damaged the warranty wouldn't cover it.

Over 9 years ago their was only me using wfp in my area so don't know were all the heavy handed wfper's were  :1f602:

Those stuck on Georgian plastic pieces can be knocked off quite easily with the pole.  I've knocked one off and moved a few on one particular house.

they are only held on with adhesive.

I had exactly the oposite last year.  A neighbour to an existing customer asked me for a quote because he had been told by the company that fitted his new UPVC windows that they should only be cleaned with wfp as applying any chem including wahsing up liquid could damage them.  So I gained a customer.

I had exactly this too. I picked up a customer who had just had new windows and the installer recommended WFP as in his words using pure water in effect sterilises the windows with no long lasting damage, whereas as mentioned using chemicals of any degree over a long period of time causes rubbers to wear and glass to fade.

Looks like he was trying to find an excuse to force your arm into doing them trad mate.
Does it void his guarantee when it rains[emoji848]. Not worth worrying about.

Yeah must of been but there was no chance of me cleaning them trad again. I know wfp does a very good job (better than trad in my opinion) and it's now my chosen method of cleaning windows, luckily he's been the only one to try and tell me how to do my job. At the end of the day why would we all invest so much money into a system that doesn't work or voids guarantee on windows.
